The Baloch Liberation Front (BLF) has intensified its insurgent activities in Balochistan, Pakistan, claiming responsibility for multiple attacks targeting Pakistani security forces. On March 11, 2025, BLF fighters conducted an IED attack on a Frontier Corps convoy in Buleda, Kech, resulting in the deaths of seven personnel. Later that day, they seized a police checkpoint in Wadh, Khuzdar, confiscating weapons from the officers present .
On March 15, BLF fighters launched grenade and gunfire attacks on Coast Guard and military checkpoints in Gwadar city, injuring two personnel and killing one soldier. They also took control of a police checkpoint in Mastung .Baluch Sarmachar
BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch has urged Baloch youth to unite against perceived anti-Baloch policies and to actively participate in the movement for Baloch independence .
These attacks are part of a broader insurgency in Balochistan, where various separatist groups, including the BLF and the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), have been engaged in ongoing conflicts with Pakistani security forces. The region remains volatile, with frequent clashes and heightened tensions.
