The Industry Week exhibition concluded

This exhibition, which was held for the first time without the presence of women, showcased Afghanistan’s domestic products across various sectors in 700 booths over six days, organized by the Chamber of Industries and Mines. During the event, contracts worth $7 million were also signed.

The organizers stated that approximately 500,000 people, including nearly 1,500 foreign nationals, visited the exhibition during this time.

Shirbaz Kaminzada, head of the Chamber of Industries and Mines, said: “About 500,000 of our compatriots and citizens visited the exhibition during these six days, and nearly 1,500 foreigners attended as well. Around 5,000 traders, industrialists, and investors also visited the exhibition.”

Khan Mohammad Frutan, head of the Chamber of Agriculture and Livestock, stated: “Self-sufficiency will only be achieved if we all work together. I also urge the nation and the elders to support and use domestic products.”

Meanwhile, the deputy minister of labor and social affairs, Mohammad Zahid Ahmadzai, emphasized support for domestic products and added that the Islamic Emirate is striving for self-sufficiency across various sectors in Afghanistan.

He called once again on domestic and foreign businessmen to invest in the country to reduce unemployment.

The deputy minister of labor and social affairs said: “Our request is that today, security is ensured across Afghanistan, and there are excellent opportunities in all sectors. Investors should increase their investments.”

Some booth holders found the exhibition beneficial for showcasing their products and called for more such events.

Nazir, a booth holder, said: “It would be better if this exhibition is held every year, as it provides an opportunity to display our products.”

Yasin, another booth holder, said: “If women had participated, the exhibition would have been much more vibrant.”

Fardin, a booth holder, said: “We signed contracts. It’s very good, and we hope the authorities will organize more exhibitions regularly.”

It’s worth noting that on the first day of the exhibition, deputy prime ministers of the Islamic Emirate emphasized their commitment to promoting industry growth and investment inside Afghanistan by all possible means.
