A delegation from the Islamic Emirate, led by Nooruddin Azizi, the acting minister of industry and commerce, has traveled to Kazakhstan to participate in the International Astana Forum.

The forum is expected to address key topics such as global economics, climate change, international security, sustainable development, and regional cooperation.

Nooruddin Azizi is scheduled to deliver a speech on “Investment Opportunities and Economic Growth in Afghanistan” during the event.

Akhundzada Abdul Salam Jawad, spokesperson for the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, stated: “The acting minister will speak at the forum about Afghanistan’s investment potential and economic development.”

Economic experts said that the Islamic Emirate’s participation in this forum could help strengthen ties with Central Asian countries, especially Kazakhstan.

Mohammad Nabi Afghan, an economic analyst, said: “If more such conferences and meetings are organized and Afghan representatives attend and present a realistic image of the country, they could find solutions for economic challenges and expand trade with neighboring countries.”

Ismail Zadran, another economic expert, said: “The government needs to consult internally before attending such conferences and ensure the necessary resources are in place. If commitments are made, they must be implemented; otherwise, if they remain only on paper, it will lead to fatigue and symbolic participation.”

The International Astana Forum is scheduled for the 29th and 30th of this month and will focus on global economy, climate change, international security, sustainable development, and regional collaboration.

The event includes participation from heads of state, UNAMA representatives in Afghanistan, international organizations, and scholars from around the world.
